EFS Employee: scope of the software solution

Globalpark supplies its software as a fully web-based solution. All components and interfaces can be used with any standard browser without additional software having to be installed on the computers of project staff or respondents. This form of distribution, known as software as a service (SAAS), offers a number of advantages. The software is available in real time, regardless of the user’s location. Employees worldwide can work on the survey project simultaneously, so there is no need for local updates and upgrades. EFS Employee is client-enabled, allowing each member of the project team to use the software via a personalized access account. If staff leave the team or company during a project, access rights can be cancelled immediately. EFS Employee is a complete solution, somprising all necessary functions and services, such as data hosting, updating and continuous further development of the software, maintenance and technical support. After the project is finished, the results data is backed up and made available to the customer upon request in common file formats. This applies to all relevant project data too. Should another employee survey be conducted using EFS Employee, the software does not have to be set up and configured again. Subsequent surveys are, therefore, often more cost-effective.
License forms
The total cost of ownership – crucial for determining economic viability – is easy to calculate using this model. All costs for setup, maintenance and operation are already included in the quoted price. Globalpark offers EFS Employee in two license forms: The software can be rented as a self service product, in which case customers are responsible for the subsequent services. In the managed service version, Globalpark offers the implementation of the whole project. If required, a complete outsourced model is offered.
Data protection – confidentiality and integrity
The protection of employee data and survey results is a top priority at Globalpark. Our employees have a background in market research. They are trained and regularly updated in the proper use of sensitive external data. Their work is subject to the strict confidentiality regulations applicable to market and opinion research companies. Normally our customers decide to host software and survey data on Globalpark servers. This is the only way to fully separate employee and results data. It ensures that even technical staff at the customer’s site are not able to trace the responses of individual employees without authorization.

Our server pool is reliably protected against external access by state-of-the-art security measures. Continuous availability of software throughout the project duration and the restoration of stored data are also ensured. The surveys themselves can also be protected with the SSL Internet encryption protocol which prevents third-party access to the system and to survey results. Globalpark’s data protection measures meet the most stringent requirements, a fact which is confirmed by regular security audits carried out by our clients’ data protection officers.
