Itracks Launches Facebook Application for Panel Members


Saskatoon, SK – July 15, 2010 – Itracks, international online data collection specialists and online qualitative patent holders, have developed a Facebook application for their panel members. The application, developed with partner Globalpark, will allow Talk Now panel members to access market research opportunities, review their survey history, refer friends and check point balances from their Facebook account.
Panel cooperation rates are steadily declining across the Market Research Industry along with personal email usage. The evolution of Social Networks, such as Facebook, offer new opportunities for panel managers to engage with members.

“This application will help us meet the changing needs of respondents who are, for the most part, spending less time checking email,” said Itracks’ President and CEO, Dan Weber. “Connecting with panel members via Facebook and other social media venues is essential to the sustainability of our panels”.
According to the latest numbers provided by Mashable there are over 130,000,000 active Facebook accounts in North America. Itracks anticipates the application will offer a new channel to recruit and engage panel members, especially when targeting Gen Y respondents.
