At Ciao Surveys, interdisciplinary teams in the Internet Survey Solutions divisions are responsible for conducting online surveys. While part of the team is involved with the administration of panelists, a central team specializes in working with Globalpark software and is tasked with implementing surveys and generating results.
Ciao Surveys manages panelists using a panel tracking tool. This software enables survey participants to be profiled according to criteria such as purchasing behavior, interests or demographic data.
This information is needed for the management of invitations to participate in surveys, which Ciao Surveys carries out using EFS Survey. Globalpark has developed an interface with which data from selected survey participants can be automatically transferred from one software package to another. This solution was implemented using Globalpark’s EFS Web Services, an interface technology that enables EFS Survey to connect to practically any other technology. This development has greatly facilitated the interaction between the two Internet Survey Solution teams. Automatic data transfer means much faster and more efficient working processes.
Another example of process automation concerns the frequent requirement at Ciao Surveys for multi-lingual surveys. For this, the company uses Trados translation software. In collaboration with Ciao Surveys, a standardized transfer interface has been developed for EFS Survey: The data to be translated can be imported automatically into Trados and then integrated back into the software after translation. This greatly reduces the time required to generate multi-lingual surveys and prevents errors which can occur in manual translations.
Process automation has made working processes at Ciao Surveys faster and more efficient. Throughout the years in which Ciao Surveys and Globalpark have been working together they have developed solutions which give both companies decisive competitive advantages.
